Vascular surgery covers the following domains: Coronary and cardiac valvular problems, vascular problems concernig large arteries to limbs and neck/ head (carotids), venous insufficiency (varicose veins, ulcers, ..), and thoracic problems (lungs, pneumothorax, etc)
Countless people of all strata of the population, complain of varicosities. It is mainly women who are affected by this problem. As women, they exhibit rich personalities with demands and expect simple & effective solutions at hand regarding health & beauty treatments.
Recently, great progress has been accomplished in the treatment for varicose veins, with ambulant treatment being the norm. The standard treatment which was the surgical removal of varicose veins is now outdated.
For large varicose veins, the "Endovenous laser" can occlude the main varicose vein through a small incision at the ankle. The normal incision is 2 to 3 mm. This allows an excellent esthetic result after a few months; the scars are hardly visible. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis and can even be performed under local anesthesia. A few hours after surgery, you can leave the clinic with stockings and walk normally.
The "external laser" is a new method for treating spider veins that goes beyond existing methods. This method is effective where conventional treatment (sclerotherapy) is no longer possible.
It is possible for all types of varicose veins, even if their diameter is below 3 mm.
The principle of the "exolaser" consists of warming the blood inside the varicosity by a transcutaneous external laser source , causing denaturation of the cells of the inner wall of the small vessel, provoking the disappearance of the varicosity after a few weeks . The skin itself remains intact.
The treatment is virtually painless. It applies to all skin types without seasonal restrictions. It has a very targeted action without side effects such as changes in pigmentation, necrosis, or skin burns.
