Gynaecology and obstetrics is a specialisation rich in it's multiple facets: it covers the care of the medical and surgical conditions that a woman may encounter in the gynecological sphere (womb, ovaries, vagina, vulva, breasts) .

Are within the scope of gynaecology and obstetrics: cancer screening, contraception, hormonal treatments, infertility diagnosis and treatment, ultrasound scanning of gynecological disorders and in pregnancy, surgery (classic, vaginal, endoscopic, laser, breast surgery)

This includes obviously obstetrics, sub-specialty, the objective of which is the follow-up of pregancy from pregnancy test till birth!

Dr Nørgaard has been working at the IRIS South Hospitals since 1998 and at the Braine l'Alleud-WaterlooHospital as consultant sonographer. Other than traditional gynæcology and pregnancy follow-ups, he has developed a particular interest in infertility work-ups and mini-invasive surgery in the treatment of gynæcological disorders.
